Board Game Fun

Each week we teach you how to play a new board game. A variety of board games are available for partner and group play. Recommended for ages 6-11. No sign up required.

Chess Club

Want to learn how to play chess or play with others who love the game? Then this club is for you! Chess boards provided by the library. Recommended for ages 6 - 11. No sign up required.

Story Time

Join the children's librarian for 30 minutes of stories, fingerplays and songs. Recommended for families with children ages 2 -8. No sign up required.


Children ages 4 - 11 are welcome to create a project using the library's LEGOs. Projects will be displayed in the library until the next session. No sign up required.

Summer Reading Program Registration Week

Sign up for the summer reading program June 9 - 14 at the library.  The children's program, FIZZ, BOOM, READ!, is for ages 11 and under.  The teen program, SPARK A REACTION, if for ages 12 thru 17.

Career & Financial Aid Workshop

The Educational Opportunity Network will hold a free career workshop with information about how to go to college and how to afford it while working at the same time.  It's never too late to begin!

Food for Thought Book Club

Discussing The Round House by Louise Erdrich.  Please note that this club meets the third Monday this month, not the fourth due to the Memorial Day holiday.   We will meet at  Cancun Restaurant on Highland Ave. for this meeting as it is our last before our summer break. Please bring along a few book titles that you recommend for next year.
