Help Make Altoona a Dementia Friendly Community

Nearly all of us has experience of dementia in our families, circle of friends, church, or business, yet the stigma of dementia remains. Support people with dementia to remain part of the community, not apart from it.  You are invited to learn about dementia and the small things you can do to make a difference in Altoona.  Please contact the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Eau Claire County to register, either by visiting adrcevents.org or calling 715-839-4750.  Dinner will be provided and is sponsored by the Grace Lutheran Foundation.  This event will cover the following topics:

-What is a Dementia Friendly Community?
-Why is a Dementia Friendly Community important for Altoona?
-Communication Strategies in Dementia
-What resources do we have?
-Learn what you can do
