Teen Fandom Fest

For teens in grades 6-12. Bring out your inner nerd! We'll have pizza, games, and fandom related activites! Sign up is encouraged but not required. 

Ice Cream Story Time

Join us for some extra "sweet" stories and songs in the library's community room.

Ice Cream Sundae bar served afterward.

Food For Fines

Patrons may donate a nonpersihable food item in exchange for each dollar owed in overdue fines. All food donated during this drive will be given to the Altoona Compassion Coalition for distribution to the needy in our community. 

Teen Halloween Spectacular: Build-A-Monster

This is your opportunity to channel your innder Sid from Toy Story! We're going to take apart dolls and stuffed animals and put them back together again- Frankenstein style! Teens do not have to bring their own stuffed animal to attend this event, but can if they have one they are willing to wreck! Costumes encouraged! The event will be 4:15 pm- 5:30 pm. No sign up required. 

Friends of the Library Book Sale

Find great books and support the library at the Altoona Public Library Friends of the Library Book Sale. Hardcovers are $1, softcovers are $.50, and kids' items are $.25. Great deals and a great cause. 9 am - 3 pm
