Free library cards are available to all Wisconsin residents. Children under
the age of 17 need a parent or guardian's signature. Proof of current address, such as a
driver's license, state ID, or utility bill showing name and address, is required.
Most materials may be renewed twice. Exceptions are
videotapes and books with reserves, which may not be renewed. To renew an item, you may
call the circulation desk at 715-839-5029, bring in the item, or renew it online through
the MORE online catalog.
Fines
are charged at the rate of 10 cents per day for books, magazines, and books on tape. The
fine for late videos is $1 per day. You can check your patron records to see if you have
fines through the MORE online catalog.
Materials held by the Altoona Public Library, but not on the shelf, may be
reserved. Ask a staff member for assistance. You may reserve a book in person, over the
phone, or online through the MORE online catalog.
Materials not owned by the Altoona Public Library may be available from
another library. This can be checked in person or online. If you have questions, please
feel free to ask a staff member for assistance.
